What this step asks
Repeat a pattern of 11 tiles on the Hard level. The run opens with 7 tiles and every correct round adds one, so 5 correct rounds take you there. You have 14 rounds and 3 lives; a miss takes a tile off the next pattern and costs you rounds to climb back.
The numbers behind the target
- Opening pattern: 7 tiles on a 4×4 grid, on show for 1000 ms.
- Target pattern: 11 tiles on a 5×5 grid, on show for 1200 ms (50 ms more for every extra tile).
- The grid grows on the way, so the target pattern is spread over more squares than the opening one.
- Rounds to spare for slips: 9 of 14.
